Love 1864 Metro Police set of two I purchased
By John Gunn from New York, United States on July 09, 2024
Growing up in 80’s/90’s Bensonhurst Bklyn - if you didn’t have set of knuckles in rear pickets, you felt naked. Soldier w/o his rifle feeling. Best purchase of 2024 hands down. I will be back for more sets. Last purchase was the, “New York 1864 Metropolitan Police” knuckle set of two.
Advice if you think you may use them: learn how to tape them up properly, you can be in just as much pain as guy you hit if you don’t tape up well.

Best knuckles!
By Douglas Marcotte from Arizona, United States on June 28, 2024
Perfect size & weight ! Bought 1 and immediately bought another. I own 6 knuckles from this company. I’m a retired cop / military and I’ve fought with these. And these are NOT paperweights~ these are efficient fighting tools for the professional…. Worth every penny. I carry these, a pistol, and a sharp knife everywhere….

Great modern replica of an Au Lion 1918.
By Nicholas Wong from California, United States on June 22, 2024
Rock-solid construction overall. No rattle between blade and hilt. Excellent weight, balance, and design. Stainless steel is plenty sufficient for a blade of this length and purpose, offering the significant advantage of corrosion resistance over high-carbon alternatives. Looks great on display, but could functionally deal serious damage if needed. One star off because while the edge was sharpened, a small section of the point appeared to be broken off or ground blunt (easy fix with a file). Scabbard retention is enough to secure the knife upside down, yet easy to draw and re-sheathe with minimal force and noise. The updated, closed belt loop works better for modern civilian carry than the open pistol belt hooks of the original WWI design. The only markings are "U.S. 1918," replicating the Au Lion manufacture. If you want an L.F. & C replica, Windlass Steelcrafts makes a pretty good one for not much more money. Overall, a solid, good-looking piece of memorabilia that could double as brutal weapon if necessary.

as advertised
By Craig Swann from Texas, United States on June 21, 2024
This is a very serious tool for self defense. The only change I made was to wrap the palm bar in canvas tape for a more secure seat in my palm.

I feel like these are still a bit spendy for lower quality metal with plating, but they will do what I need them to.

Review Update
By Shaun Crissman from Pennsylvania, United States on June 05, 2024
These knuckles are still great, and I still love mine, however I must admit they make for a better show piece than for practical use. No, I didn't put them through any abuse or tests like I did with my Original Solid Brass Knuckles, and rightly so. The gold / brass finish on them will wear off in time through handling and wearing them. No less, they will still do the job, if you have no other choice. I keep these ones in my office as a paper weight and show piece.
